The little man is doing great post-surgery! He just had his single stitch removed this past Friday and needs no further follow-up according to his doc. We also just recently found out that he has been accepted to begin Montessori school after Labor Day and Lois has taken him to school a few times during this past week for a trial run--so far he's enjoying it greatly.

Since our last entry, Big Momma made a whirlwind trip up to Interlochen to retrieve Aunt Maur accompanied by her friend Mari. Papa swapped places with Big Momma and spent the weekend with the A-team while we were on call. Thanks, Papa!

Yesterday, we took part in Ferndale's Green Cruise--our local alternative to next week's Dream Cruise--celebrating modes of transportation other than the automobile. We rode our tandem bike in the 22-mile ride and then joined our crew of Big Momma & Atticus, Misty & Alma with Katie & Jade and Danielle & Kyla at the Green Rally at Geary Park down the street from our house.

Atticus just received a police car this week and it's his new favorite toy. He wanders happily around with his "peace car" in one hand and his "sire" (fire engine) in the other. He now races around the block on his RadioFlyer scooter. As seen above, little man's latest thing is clomping throughout the house in our shoes.

I'm so glad to hear that Atticus is doing well and starting school soon. And the idea of a member of the another generation setting foot on the Interlochen campus really warms my heart.

Great photos! Am I not seeing a tuxedo picture? Your readership really deserves one.
